The main monkey business with a lot of hubpages I've read during my short few days here has been writing to optimize for SEO in hopes of driving traffic to ones site. There seems to be a lot of fluff and not enough meat. I don't know why these types of writers don't just cut to the chase and makes hubs all day long that are essentially lists of top search engine hot, or trending keywords.

If you really want to drive traffic to your sites, then why not creatively use search engines like Google.com, Yahoo.com, Bing.com, Dogpile.com, WebCrawler.com, Lycos.com, AltaVista.com, MSN.com, Topix.net and qrobe.it to your advantage and compile a list of top key searches from each one of these search engines and write a hub on each word? Remember in school when the teacher would assign a creative writing project and give a list of topics? Think of it like that.

Some of us are not here just to make money, but a difference. I would like to be one of those which helped the community, not hurt it. I understand that times are tough, trust me, everyday I wake up thinking what's going to happen today. It just gets bleaker and more dark.

Making money from the internet takes a lot of time and diligent work. It is overwhelmingly difficult to keep all of the websites, protocols, links, backlinks, and even locations of where your information is stored (written and digital data form). Then there's the steep learning curve of how to use all of the software. Google Adsense for example could take a person days out of their way just to figure out how to tweek it so they get the most out of it. The same goes for Google Analytics. Then you have to get to the topic of writing about something! Remember that? It's what we're here to do.

Yeah, confusing, I know. Okay, so now that you've earned your PHD in Internet Technology and know how to write code and HTML and C++ and Java Script and all about controlling the free markets you stumble head over heals into Affiliate Marketing. There's no simple way I've found to expedite the process of choosing the affiliate with the best paying which offer the least time between payouts. Once you get all of that up and running remember Pay Pal takes their cut off the top of your hard work for that $5 for 2000 click thrus it just took you two years to build up.

Once you've built a site that works, and by that I mean generates a lot of hits, you can't just sit back. Do it again with another site and link the two together. With sites like Blogger you can insert your own HTML which means you can add Amazon widgets or searches. I use Adfly.ly which turns your links into smaller ones (like tinyurl). Anytime someone clicks on those you get paid. I have found that hubpages is a great way to generate traffic because they push up your search engine rankings. If you leverage that with blogger, adfly, and kontera and link each one together, it snowballs.

So replicate, replicate, replicate.

When using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, or Myspace, you can't just throw up a url and expect traffic to come your way. Include a sentence or two that act as a teaser enticing the viewer to become a potentially dedicated reader. Again, be creative. And replicate...think of websites like these (and search for more to become a member on) as a T.V. station, and your blurb and URL as an advertisement. It takes many impressions of that ad for it to become a brand, and many more for it to become a staple in peoples daily lives.
